The Crystal Type is a new Pokémon Type introduced in Pokémon East and West, bringing the total number of types present in the Region to nineteen (including Fairy).
One of the Crystal-type Pokémon found in the Oloka Region, as well as the Orange Islands in the anime, is the Crystal Onix. Also, the anime shows that Crystal Onix has an immunity to water, as does all other Crystal-type Pokémon. Finding a Crystal Onix in the wild is incredibly rare, and unlike regular Onix, Crystal Onix cannot evolve.
